Brandon (who’s just turned 4) has been on this math kick lately. He literally walks around the house doing math outloud. 2+3=5 100+200=300 150+20=170. He just blurts out all these addition and subtraction problems. So about two weeks ago Brandon comes up to me and goes 2+3=5. That’s right daddy? Yes, I tell him good job. “2 TIMES 3=6 that’s right?” My jaw dropped. I asked him did mommy teach you that? No. What’s 3×5? Brandon responds 15! What’s 3×4? 12!

Where did you learn that? Daddy I learned multiplication from watching the “School House Rock DVD”. Unbelievable. No joke later that night Brandon asked me if I could teach him division.

    He is 4 years old…this is what people need to know. He is freaking 4 years old, lol. Go Brandon! If he keeps this knowledge and love of math up, he could follow his passion and his dream, wherever that might take him.
