Value

I’ve been selling real estate for four years now. I really enjoyed it because of the joy it brings to people’s family. There’s nothing like giving your clients the keys their new house. Knowing that their family will live, enjoy, and build nice equity for their future in that home.

The one thing that I really specialize in is value. People are always asking, “how much is my house” or “how much for a two story with a basement in Bartlett”. You get the idea. Well check this out. I can tell a seller the value of his house. The seller can even get an appraisal on their home to find the value. But the real value of someone’s home is what the buyer is willing to purchase it for.

Let’s put a spin on this. What’s your life worth? Is it your net worth? Is it your legacy?

No matter your wealth, social position, success, value, etc. The price for your life can not be more then Christ’s death on the cross. No value compares to a God that would die for you. So that we might be made perfect and join Him in heaven.

On a tangent, have you seen “The Passion of the Christ” yet? If you haven’t you need to. My entire life I’ve focused on what Christ has done on the cross, paying for my sins. Seeing the passion made me realize the Cross was just the end of the price he paid. In the passion, Christ gets the beat down of all beat downs. Christ carries the cross, on His bloodied back with skin torn and buried splinters, to it’s eventual resting place with me in mind. It might be to pay for my sins. But as I have been learning lately it’s because of His love that he carries this burden. Not because of my sin. It’s because He longs to be with me and spend eternity with me.

One more spin. Ever wonder what more “good” you could do to get to heaven?

Lots of people believe the path to heaven is being a good person. That’s crazy. You can not do more then what Christ has already done. It’s impossible. What more value to this earth could you possibly do that would possibility let you into heaven? Nothing. It’s already been done for you. Christ’s death is the ultimate value your life could ever have.
