Play Ball

We’re days away from the WORLD CHAMPION WHITE SOX taking the field again. How cool was last year? Going 11-2 in the playoffs was sweet. The highlight of the whole playoff run was watching game two of the World Series at Andy K’s house. Half of Kevorka (my football team) and Joe R showed up to be with Andy (a fellow Sox fan). Andy had just broken his jaw in two places and busted his knee up pretty good too (ACL & PCL) the week prior. We did our part to cheer Andy up and boy… did the Sox deliver. Game 2 will probably go down as my all time favorite baseball game EVER. Sox down 2-4 bases juiced and up walks Konerko

THUD the only grand slam in series history puts the Sox up 6-4.

Houston, desperate to get their first win, ties up the game 6-6. Bottom of the 9th one out Scotty Pods, who’s only hit 1 homer all season steps in the box.

One last highlight or lowlight you might say was watching Andy eat a piece of Rosati’s pizza through a straw.

Kenny Williams made so many trades in the office season. I think only 66% of last years team is on this year’s roster. I’m excited to see what Jim Thome brings to the team. I hope he says healthy. I’m definitely predicting a repeat. The starting staff is second to none with 5 starters that would all be #1 or #2 guys on any other staff.

Sorry Cub fans but it looks like the Cubs are going to suck yet again. Prior & Woods are already on the DL. I really like the addition on Juan Pierre but unless Prior & Woods both have 15+ win seasons forget ’bout it.

Isn’t baseball too long? 162 games stinks. The season needs to be reduced 25%. Another annoying thing about baseball is Barry Bonds. Who cares if he juiced. He’s a pud.

I agree…That might be the greatest game in World Series History. Just when I thought Scotty Pods had blown it in the top of 9 with his puss arm, he comes up to the plate and hits his second home run of the post season to win it.

By the way, the MLB regular season is 162 games long, not 180.

I really hope Barry Bonds doesn’t break Aaron’s record. If he does, it will add that much more to this ongoing saga of steroids crap.

I forgot about that wimpy throw by Pods. He fielded a ball in shallow left when an Astro JUST ROUNDED third and the Astro beat Scotty’s throw to the plate… PATHETIC!

162 games noted and adjusted, thanks.

I hope cork flies out of Bonds bat ala Sosa!
