NFL Network has ruined my sports acumen.
Last fall I was introduced to NFL Network and since then I’ve become a sports retard. There I’ve said it. Basically it comes down to this. I used to get my well rounded sports information from ESPN’s Spots Center. There I was able to keep tabs on Baseball, Basketball, and Hockey.
NFL Network “football 24/7″ is a beautiful thing my friend. Just days away from the final 4? NO WAY. Try 34 days from the draft
I found myself watching Miami (who won only 1 game) vs. Washington Sunday night. Can’t get enough of NFL replay. That’s when NFL Network edits game film and slices a whole game into 60 minutes. Then add in post game interviews during the game. It’s awesome to hear what’s going on during key moments.
Also the Top 10 List shows are entertaining. Top 10 worst weather games, top 10 best running performances, top 10 worst teams of all time, etc… LOVE IT!
Just for grins I looked up NBA’s top scorers and I didn’t even know 8-11. Reed, Martin, Jefferson, and Bosh? Who the heck are those guys? It sounds like a law firm. OH MY NHL is even worse. I know ONE guy in the top 30 scorers. Man that’s sad. No Blackhawks in the top 30… no surprises there.
Man I know more arena football players and more soccer players then hockey players.

The NFL network came in very handy after Favre’s retirement. I was able to TIVO Super Bowl XXXI and his Monday night game against the Raiders. Great stuff!
