NASA remote control toys

This is kinda of weird. The remote control vehicles sent to Mars (Opportunity and its twin, Spirit) were only designed to last 90 days. All that money and research and the vehicals were only meant to last 90 days? Doesn’t that seem odd?

Opportunity

Any who, the little toys have lasted nearly four year now w/ the exception that they’re not really fully drivable. I found this article mildly interesting. Mars rover hobbled as instruments show their age.

Did you know that our Satellite has a NASA channel? Guess who found it? I caught Brandon watching it the other day. It’s live feed from the NASA control station and the international space center. I think what he really likes is the world map that shows the satellites moving around the globe.
