I think your comments have nailed the newest "idols" perfectly. Simon got flustered and his God-complex went into high gear when the little "minx" winked at him so he lost all of his judgement in lieu of a good blush. Carrie Underwood she ain't! Mandisa can bring it home at the end of her songs, but her vocals go sharp before she gets there, same with Ace who tries to get us all to forget that he really can't sing by sustaining a fine falcetto at the end of his songs. That won't work, the 4 Tops aren't around to hire him anymore. Taylor still looks to me like he spent years preparing for Idol at the local Karioke bar and crashing weddings. Chris is going to bring it home. But from where I sit? A somewhat boring Idol season compared to last season. They can't all be great like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.
