Ground Rules
1. No trash talking Brian’s English
Let me kick off the blog with two historic stories. At Wheaton Christian we had a heavier set English teacher that had a mean streak. I believe Heidi T pegged this teacher with the nick-name “Moose” for obvious reason. (The Moose went on to be our class mascot! LOL).
I’m sitting in class taking another test and I’m looking around the room because I’m bored and worse yet don’t know the answers. Well the Moose catches me looking around and upon completion of the test she drags me down the dean’s office for cheating.
While I’m getting in all kinds of trouble in the Deans office, the Moose enters and proceeds to inform the dean I scored a 30%!!!! Immediately I popped up and yelled “HA!” If I was going to cheat I would have cheated better then that. I left the deans office uncontested after that.
You would think my English would improve once I got to college. Ah no. My college prof gave us the final on the first day of class and I scored a 72%. I was actually amazed I did so well. Unfortunately, when the semester was over and the same final was issued Mr. Brains here scored 65%. I actually got stupider under this woman’s teaching. (Yeah, that’s right I blame her).
So in review I suck at English. So you can expect misspellings, improper grammar, and words have been known to completely disappear while I type.
2. Comments area
The comments area is for you! I sincerely hope you feel invited to contribute to my blog. I’ll be addressing several issues that you will no doubt be passionate about or totally pissed you off. My only ask is when you sign in to comment please use your first name and last initial.
