Merry Christmas Fallen Heros

Rest easy, sleep well my brothers.
Know the line has held, your job is done.
Rest easy, sleep well.
Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held.
Peace, peace, and farewell…
Readers may be interested to know that these wreaths — some 5,000 — are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine. The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He’s done this since 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out. Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one the poorest parts of the state.
My Gift To You
The Good, Bad, & Ugly since the SB
The Good
- Forte
- Not going for Derrick Anderson last season (I was wrong on that).
- Giving KO a chance this year.
- How the whole Briggs situation played out.
- Getting rid of Benson
The Bad
- The massive decline in Vashers skills this year
- A decade without a true #1 (Bookers one year was a fluke)
- Losing Chris Harris
- Fans who cried for Lovie to have a contract extension right after the SB.
The Ugly
- The over paying of Gould (Highest paid kicker of all time???)
- The re-upping of Urlarcher contract while his skills have diminished
- Lovie’s lack of adjustments & clock management.
- Lovie killing our playoff chances on 4th and goal IN THE 2ND Q, WTF!
- Bob Babich’s pass defense or lack there of.
The Average
- Olson? He’s no Witten.
- Hester, “Show me the money”.
- Wolfe, yay he makes tackles on special teams.
- Both O & D lines
- Hunter “I give 5 yard cushion on goalline plays” Hillenmeyer
- Turner, better then Shaye & Shoope.
