The Color Test

Dr.D aka “poost” sent this to me today. I got it on the 3rd try

Not so Meaninglis

If you click the map on the right side of the page you’ll be taking to the Meaninglis stat counter. It’s really cool to see all the people who’ve visited Meaninglis from all around the world.

If the hits countinue on their current pace Meaninglis will experence 10,000 hits this year.

I guess this site ain’t so meaningless after all

The Boston Pizza Party (4/16/07)

A “fan” belatedly and sloppily throws a (whole uneaten!) slice of pizza at another fan after a J.D. Drew foul ball lands just inside the left field stands. Remy & Orsillo provide further analysis.

Trampolinefest

I just picked up a new trampoline some good friends we kind enough to give us, thanks Laura & Jut P. It’s seriously the best ever. Since we’ve had it Brandon jumps on it for 20 mins and the results are either a 3 hour nap or a 7:30 bed time. It’s been fun watching Brandon’s figuring out how to keep his legs and balance. Here’s a couple pictures of him…

Brandon

Brandon

Some day he’ll be as good as my protogie Adam seen here.

USS New York

USS New YorkThis vessel was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center.

It is the fifth in a new class of warship designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.

Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite, LA to cast the ship’s bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept. 9, 2003, “those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence,” recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. “It was a spiritual moment for everybody there.”

Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the “hair on my neck stood up.” “It had a big meaning to it for all of us,” he said. “They knocked us down. They can’t keep us down. We’re going to be back.”

The ship’s motto? “Never Forget”
