A Wicked Valentines Day
I’ve seen 12-15 musicals so I have lots to compare Wicked to. I’d say it ranks in the top 2-4 musicals overall. The music and customs were good. I liked the sets as well. Where this musical really exceeded was the story line. The plot was just brilliant.
The story explains how the wicked witch became wicked, the relationship between the wicked witch and the fairy godmother. I don’t want to give away any other spoilers but the story gives insight into the Wizard of Oz that I’ve never seen or heard before.
I would recommend wicked for the whole family. I think children would need to have seen the Wizard of Oz and probably be 8+ years old to be able to fully understand what’s going on. It’s definitely a great date night idea.

Greeklis
We are starting to learn Greek in the Lis household. Anastasia knows Greek fairly well and is now teaching Brandon. I decided to give it a shot and thought I would share some with you. Brandon can already count to 20 in Greek so I am a little behind. (Greek words & phrases)

Facing the Giants
We rented a really good movie the other night and watched it again with my parents last night. What a great story about being strong in your faith and never giving up. It’s a football movie about a losing high school football coach with a new game plan of trusting God for the impossible! Anastasia and I really enjoyed it and Brandon jump up from playing every time a football scene was on. It’s a good movie to watch with the family and an awesome evangelism tool. It made me want to be even more connected with God in prayer and always seek Him for every need in life.

Who’s working anyway?
The population of this country is 300 million.
160 million are retired.
That leaves 140 million to do the work.
There are 85 million in school.
This leaves 55 million to do the work.
Of this there are 35 million employed by the federal government.
Leaving 15 million to do the work.
2.8 million are in the armed forces preoccupied with killing Osama
Bin-Laden.
Which leaves 12.2 million to do the work.
Take from that total the 10.8 million people who work for state and city
governments.
And that leaves 1.4 million to do the work.
At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals.
Leaving 1,212,000 to do the work.
Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons.
That leaves just two people to do the work.
You and me.
And there you are,
sitting on your butt,
at your computer, reading jokes.
Nice. Real nice.
