Hollywood Obama

Some of Hollywood’s top celebrities have banded together to donate $1.6 million to Democrat Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. Steven Spielberg, Eddie Murphy and singer Jackson Browne were among those who donated at a lavish LA fund raiser. Tickets to the star-studded event, organized by Spielberg and his Dreamworks studio, were sold for $2,300. Obama told the celebrity audience that they had “enormous power” that comes with “enormous responsibility” because of their impact on American culture. “Don’t sell yourselves short,” he said. “You are the storytellers of our age.”

Oh Brother, Obama’s feeding the Hollywood egos. Don’t they get it? American’s DO NOT CARE WHAT HOLLYWOOD THINKS ABOUT POLITICS.

New Family Addition

Today Anastasia & I picked up our new baby. A brand new 2007 Saturn Vue (V6 AWD). Our old family truckster bit the bullet last summer and we’ve been driving with one car for the last six months. Basically we’ve just been waiting for the right promotion to purchase and our patience finally paid off. As we got 0% financing for 60 months, cash back, and a 5 year 60k bumper to bumper warranty. It’s the first new vehicle Anastasia & I have ever owned. So I’m pretty jacked. On top of that I’m happy to have the kids (& and the cookies, crackers, and general mess) out of my car.
