Sledding

I took Brandon sledding for the first time yesterday. Here’s a couple pictures. I was surprised he wasn’t scared at all. I think the drop is about 30 feet and it’s pretty steep especially for a soon to be three year old.

Funny thing is after 5 or 6 trips down Brandon wanted to investigate the barn next to the hill. There he decided to get into a snowball fight with the barn. I guess he won. Once he discovered the joy of hurling snowballs sledding was done for the day.

Design, Bells & Whistles

WOOHOO I’ve finally nearly completed the Meaninglis site redesign! Oh MY GOODNESS it feels good to finally have my ideas all together on one site. I have to give loads of credit to Brian Gardner as more then half of this site’s code comes from his noggin.

I FINALLY got the polls to work which you now see on the left side of the screen. It’s fully functioning and it looks sooo cool. I thought I was drunk when I got it to finally work.

Other bells and whistles include the “Share This” option at the bottom of each post. This allows you to e-mail posts to your sphere of influence. Also if you use social bookmarks like del.icio.us or flurl it’s a quick click to add a post from Meaninglis.

The last whistle is the subscribe button way down on the bottom right. If you use a feed related service for your home page such as my.yahoo, myMSN, or myAOL you can add Meaninglis right to your home page. How cool is that??? Here’s a screen shot from my.yahoo.
