US Marines: POW in the US!!!
Can you believe this… US Marines are being held at Camp Pendleton, California as PRISONERS OF WAR. They are being treated WORSE then Al-Qaeda being held at Guantanamo Bay because they are shackled 24/7. Yet not ONE charge has been brought up against our beloved Marines.
They are American citizens… American Soldiers… they deserve fair process which includes… bring jailed AFTER charges have been made. Since when does the government at any level hold US citizens without due process? It’s un-Constitutional!!!!
Here’s some pictures of people protesting outside of Camp Pendleton.
Dad of Pendleton Marine says he fears son will be a scapegoat

MERIDEN, Conn. - The father of a Camp Pendleton Marine who led a squad being investigated for the deaths of two dozen Iraqi civilians said Monday he worries his son will be made a scapegoat.
“It’s in the back of my mind,” said Dave Wuterich, the father of Staff Sgt. Frank D. Wuterich, in an interview at his Meriden home. “I really hope not. I mean, there’s so much stuff that goes on over there. Frank says, ‘You have no idea what it’s like to be over there. You have no idea.’”
No one has been charged in the case, which centers on allegations that a small number of Marines from Camp Pendleton’s 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment in San Diego, Calif., killed 24 Iraqi civilians, including unarmed women and children, in Haditha on Nov. 19 after a roadside bomb killed a fellow Marine.
Dave Wuterich acknowledged that his son led the squad, but said he does not believe his son would have intentionally killed civilians.
“I just don’t believe that he would do something like that,” he said. “He is a very caring kid, always trying to help somebody out, very smart, and I don’t think he would do something like that. I really don’t.”
Frank Wuterich’s lawyer, Neal A. Puckett, told The Associated Press in an interview Sunday that the event was tragic, but also denied innocent people were killed intentionally and said troops followed military rules of engagement.
Puckett quoted the sergeant as describing a house-to-house search that went wrong and resulted in unintended civilian deaths. Wuterich denied allegations of an intentional massacre, Puckett said.
Dave Wuterich said his son has been told not to talk about the case, even to family members.
“The only thing I know is what was in the paper, because he’s told us nothing,” Wuterich said.
His parents’ home in Meriden - a single-story blue ranch-style house with red shutters and white doors - is decorated with an American flag quilt with the Pledge of Allegiance stitched into it that is attached to the front door. A red, white and blue ribbon adorns a post in the front yard and tiny American flags dot a wreath of flowers on a side door. Bumper stickers on the family car read, “My son is a U.S. Marine” and “Semper Fi.”
Dave Wuterich said his son, a trumpet player who hoped to join the Marine Corps band when he first enlisted, liked the Iraqi people.
“They would invite him in for supper, to eat and stuff like that,” he said. “They were trying to make the Marines welcome.”
An investigation has been examining whether Marines tried to cover up the shootings and whether commanders were negligent in failing to investigate the deaths when they were reported.
Frank Wuterich’s version of events differs from some accounts of Haditha residents. They have said that innocent civilians were executed, including some who pleaded for their lives.
It was “certainly a tragic result and (Wuterich) understands that it’s tragic and he feels extremely badly about the fact that innocent civilians were killed,” Puckett told the AP in a telephone interview from Alexandria, Va. “But he was following what he understood to be the rules of engagement and standard protocol.”
Puckett said it was possible none of the Marines would be charged with murder and instead some commanders could be charged with dereliction of duty for failing to properly investigate the incident at the time.
He added Wuterich remained at Camp Pendleton and had been promoted to staff sergeant since the incident.
In Meriden, some of Wuterich’s former classmates said they don’t believe the allegations.
“You kind of know in your gut that it’s not even true.” said Rebecca Plante, 25, who graduated from Platt High School in 1998. “I don’t think he’d be part of anything that’s not right. Obviously that’s not right.”
In high school, Wuterich was a member of several school groups including the jazz band and the drama club. He also wrestled and played soccer, his father said.
Chris Seelig, 25, who graduated high school with Wuterich, called the allegations a shock.
“I didn’t think he would be capable of doing that,” Seelig said. “I guess people are capable of doing anything if they have it in them, but I didn’t think he would be the kind of person who’d kill civilians.”

The World Cup is coming next week. It’s by far the most watch event around the world. I got totally rapped up in the last cup. US was competitive, Korea came out of no where, and Brazil was AMAZING. Thanks to the best football player of our time, Ronaldinho. There is no one better… period. At 26 years old Ronaldinho will be at his prime during this Cup. I’m sure 95% of you are clueless as too who Ronaldinho so let me educate you. In a word his talent is sick.
Video #1 - Ronaldinho10 - Another compilation of clips showing Ronaldinhos ball-handling skills. From Ronaldinho10.com.
Video #2 - Slow Mo Here’s a clip in slow motion of Ronaldinho using his fancy footwork to fake an opposing player out. Amazing!
Video #3 - Golden Shoes The Ronaldinho Nike commercial where he puts on a pair of golden football shoes and then proceeds to hit the ball off the goal crossbar four times in a row and have it come back to him. Is this real or digital effects? Either way, it looks cool.

The Bush Comeback
Here’s an outline of what I think Bush should do to make a comeback. Or if one of the political parties address all these issues… They get my vote in ‘08.
1. 2007 Balance the budget, 2008 Create a surplus to pay off national debt.
2. Get a bill passed on Term Limits for ALL congressmen.
3. Cut forces in Iraq 50% by Dec 31st 2006 and another 25% next year.
4. Make national security tighter on the borders and don’t give amnesty.
5. Make federal government smaller while increasing power to the state governments.
6. Make healthcare affordable. Maybe by regulating health insurance companies. Not sure what the answer is here but healthcare is out of control. If my rates continue to see an annual 20% increase my healthcare will cost more then my mortgage in 5 years.
7. Start tapping national fuel reserves and pumpin’ Alaska for oil. Reduce gas prices. Continue to persue ethanol as fuel alternative.
What’s your plan ???
